Manipal, January 20, 2021.

The department of Instrumentation and Control Engineering, MIT Manipal  is organizing a week long  faculty development program on the  thrust area “Control Systems and Sensor Technology” under AICTE Training and Learning Academy (ATAL) commencing from January 19 to January 23, 2021.  The program will witness participants from premium institutes across the country like IISc Bangalore, VIT Vellore, ISRO Ahmedabad, KIITS Bhubaneswar, Bits Pilani, Anna University, etc.

The FDP program was inaugurated by  Dr M Seetharama Bhat,  Former chairman and Professor Aerospace Engineering IISc Bangaluru and he added to his inaugural speech that the ATAL FDP program to be the largest in the country. Dr Srikanth Rao Director MIT said, emphasized the scope and importance of control systems and its applications in different industries. The H.O.D. of Dept. of Instrumentation and Control Engineering, Dr. Shreesha C, welcomed the participants and the ATAL FDP coordinator, Dr. V.I.George, briefed the overview of the faculty development program (FDP). Finally, Dr.I Thirunavukkarasu proposed the vote of thanks.

The key objective of the training programme is to develop a strong foundation for research in engineering /scientific fields. Under this programme, theoretical information on the design and implementation of control systems based schemes /systems and various applications of aerospace and Instrumentations systems in the field of ‘Instrumentation and control engineering’ will be discussed extensively.Over 200 participants have registered for this virtual FDP programme.

Over 200 participants have registered for this virtual FDP programme.  For the recent achievement of AICTE Training And Learning (ATAL) Academy to get recognized in World Book of Record, London, UK to conduct more than 1000 FDP Programme thereby training about 1 lakh faculty members in the year 2020-21. This is one of such program. There are 14 sessions, which includes stress management and Yoga.
